Hello | Creating a wardrobe with intention
In the spirit of downsizing and living more intentionally and sustainably, I have taken a critical look at my wardrobe. It's a mix of handmade clothing, thrifted items, and some right off the rack.
When I look at my closet, the only items that bring me joy are the ones that I have made myself. Slowly, I am either upcycling or donating all of my off the rack clothing, with the intention of scaling down significantly. I'm tackling my fabric stash with gusto and plotting out patterns for my many skeins of yarn collected over the years.
With every stitch (and loop), I plan to create garments that showcase my creativity and personal style. By valuing quality over quantity, my ultimate goal is to have a completely handmade, capsule wardrobe.
I am learning so much about myself on this journey. I am using this space to share my process, highlight some cool fabrics, yarns, and indie pattern makers. Feel free to comment and share as well. And I love to make pieces for others...more details to come.
Fun Facts about me :)

Like many of you, my Grandmother taught me how to sew. She was quite gifted.
I'm an introvert with extrovert tendencies. Just wait for "Two-drink" Jess.
I love hiking. Put me in the middle of the woods for twelve hours and I'm golden.
